Reimage repair site....verdict?

Recommended Posts

Hello, all.

This morning's scan turned up a jaw-dropping 453 PUPs connected with a repair service called "Reimage." Not sure if this is the same scam mentioned more than once on this forum (a scam which employs numerous URLs for purposes of entrapment), but I've a sinking feeling it might be.

Here's where I swallowed the bait:

https://www.reimageplus.com/

Furthermore, I was linked to Reimage via an online—seemingly legit—computer mag, whose name I've forgotten, wouldn'tcha know.

Google turns up conflicting discussions on the topic (Reimage scam or legit?), with opinions on both sides. So I turn to you for the final word.

In the meantime, I've corralled the PUPs into quarantine, and re-scanned. The new scan runs clean. Are there additional procedures I should undertake to make sure I'm okay?

If anyone's interested in the gory results of the first scan, I've attached them below.

Last, but not least, can I safely delete everything in quarantine?

Grateful thanks to you forum heroes.

Nasdaq, I greatly appreciate your help, and am sorry for the trouble.

Reimage certainly didn't fix my computer's audio problems, as I'd hoped it might. That aside, it hasn't caused any problems that I'm aware of. If anything suspicious crops up, I'll post word here.

Will delete Reimage from quarantine. Am relieved to be rid of it, and my sincere thanks to you.  Hat tip

Attached below, the Fixlog file.
