Windows 10 Laptop Problems

We're not sure the computer is infected at this point. You could try to do a recovery back to a previous system restore point or even do a system reset if wanted.

No, we would need to remove the disk partition so that it cannot be written to in the potentially infected computer. Then in the clean computer, you would format it.

Please read the following topics. They discuss various methods of starting into the Recovery Console. From there you can run a System Restore from a Recovery Point or perform other recovery options.

The System Restore is a wonderful option and is designed just for situations like this. It takes a snapshot in time from when your computer was working well and restores core operating system files so ti will run. It does not uninstall or remove any of your data. The most it can do is remove an entry for a recently installed program but even that can easily be fixed.

Please take the time to check out the links I provided for you and try the System Restore. If I was physically there at your home that is exactly what I would do

Okay, well not sure what happened to the computer but at this point, it looks like you're going to try and do a Reset.

You can try the first option which is to KEEP YOUR FILES and see if that works or not.

If that still does not work then this link will show you how to completely reinstall Windows 10 - WARNING!! This method deletes your files. You need to back up any data you want to keep to an external drive otherwise you will lose it.
