stevef #1 Posted March 4 I noticed that Discount Electronics still offers lifetime malwarebytes subscriptions for $35 with refurbished laptops. Is this legit?
Porthos #2 Posted March 4 It is possible that they bought a bunch of box sets back when the lifetime ones still existed. I still have some unsold keys from back then.
stevef #3 Posted March 4 But I've noticed that some claim that the malwarebytes company no longer accepts the lifetime subscriptions.
exile360 #4 Posted March 4 They no longer sell them, but I assume that as long as they can validate that the keys being used are legit keys that they issued (not ones generated by a keygen that happen to fit the old algorithm for MBAM 1.x/2.x keys) then it shouldn't be a problem but you'd have to inquire with Support to be sure. Amaroq_Starwind #5 Posted March 7 I recently bought a boxed MalwareBytes license for around $30 from Fry's Electronics, but it said on the box "3 Devices, 1 Year". I have to say, while I love the packaging (I'm keeping the box for its artwork), I do wish there was more inside the box. Aside from the paper card with the activation code, it's all just empty space in there, not even an installation CD. I expected at the very least some swag, like a folded poster or one of those sliding webcam shutters.
