how do I know if a new version is available if I don't get notified?

If you have not turned off the notify feature then you will get notified. Be aware upgrades are metered out over time. When your turn comes it will download automatically and notify you when it ready to install.

If you do not wish to wait you can always check for application updates manually. This will override metering.

I have Malwarebytes premium, program version 3.7.1

In the several years I have owned this I have never had this notification work properly.  I used to be able to go to:

https://www.malwarebytes.com/support/releasehistory/#malwarebytes-premium

to find out if I had the latest version and then I would uninstall mine and install the new version.

I found out about this version since I was having an issue and someone in the forums told me there was a newer version.

Are the below settings turned on? if so I would follow the instructions in the BOT post to provide logs for a staff member to look at and see why you have never received any updates. I have seen it take a couple of months before the auto-update kicks in.

Just in case you find it useful, they do generally publish a new pinned topic at the top of this area whenever a new major version of Malwarebytes is released, generally within hours if not minutes of the new version going live (and usually well before the main website gets updated as it's much easier to post a thread on the forums here than to push out an update to the main site) so you should be able to check there to see when a new version comes out if you would prefer that.
