Can I use Malwarebytes concurrently with other security software?

There are always potential problems if you have two antivirus programs running with real-time protection (or on-access scanning, or whatever it's called by the product in question) enabled. That can cause increased processor usage, causes potential fights over who gets to remove something (so you could end up with components of malware moved into the quarantines of two different programs), and could even result in cases where the behavior of one kicks off protection events in the other in a spiraling loop of hammering the processor and disk.

That said, the worst we've ever observed in the case of Malwarebytes for Mac is:

1) Other antivirus software detecting things in the Malwarebytes quarantine and removing it from that location

2) Other antivirus software falsely detecting and removing components of Malwarebytes, damaging the software and necessitating a reinstall
