taskhostw.exe has a high CPU consumption of 99.1%

Recommended Posts

Ive been through a few of the posts on the forums but none have solved this issue. I believe taskhost.exe is a miner and has infected my system. I have done a Malwarebytes scan, Farbar scan, adwcleaner, and nothing has appeared. It occasionally goes away when I perform a Resource and Performance Monitor by then comes right back a few mins later. Its causing Photoshop to have spikes of lag, where nothing happens for a few seconds then everything appears, and my games freeze up and characters snap back into place. My fans also start blasting whenever it happens.

Here is what it looks like in Task Manager (Details) -

Here is the error in my Diagnostic Results -

I'm a bit of a pc noob so all advice is helpful (sorry if I don't understand what to do straight away!)
