Hello and Welcome!

See below for release notes, Play Mode is a new feature they added to Malwarebytes v3.7.1.  Are you running the Paid version or Trial? That being said, it just looks like an advertisement on your screen shot, nothing to get rid of.

The same thing has happened to me. I have the paid version.   I don't want advertisement in front of the GUI. I want this removed.

Same thing here as well. What do you mean nothing to get rid of? Why would I want advertisement right in front of the UI? Especially for (gaming)something I don't even plan on using.

It is just showing a new feature of Malwarebytes 3.7.1 a feature that, may I add was heavily requested and was able to finally be included.

That's fine. But I don't want or need advertisement in front of the UI. I want it removed. That's not an unreasonable request.

They must be experimenting with another marketing module/notification component in the new build of Malwarebytes.  Unfortunately unless it offers an option to dismiss it, I doubt there's anything you can do to get rid of it until they turn it off server-side.  I suppose it's not a horrible thing to better inform users about new major features introduced into the product, however if you just prefer the plain white background normally displayed then I can understand why you'd be frustrated by this.

I will inform the Product team of your feedback and hopefully they will reconsider it.

Yes it's my preference and thank you for your understanding.

No problem.  Obviously there's no guarantee that they'll actually change it as the decision is not mine to make, however your voice will be heard.

If there is anything else we might assist you with please don't hesitate to let us know.

Thanks

That's puzzling.  MWB has added a bunch of new features over this years. Why does this one have to be plastered over the UI when the others weren't?

Probably because A this is a long time requested feature going all the way back to the Malwarebytes 1.x days years ago, and B because they are probably also testing out this new functionality of a dynamic UI/background for the Dashboard (similar to the recent test they performed for beta users with the new format tray notifications discussed in this thread).  That's just my best guess though; I'm not the Product Manager for the product so I do not know for certain, but it makes sense based on my past experience being a former employee and Product Manager for Malwarebytes.
