new virus disabled malwarebytes

my client opened an infected email and clicked the attachment, a word doc.  the virus spread to other computers on the network.  the symptoms thus far are that malwarebytes premium was converted to free, and no malware bytes scans will run.  i have instructed them to turn everything off until i can help

please advise, has this been seen elsewhwere

is it possible this is not a virus and just a malwarebytes glitch from an update?  this firm has a sonicwall firewall, firewall enforced anitvirus protection,  malwarebytes , and there email is hosted...

i find it hard to believe something got thru, but, i am not there and wont be for a few hours so trying to research.  i am not finding anything current tho...

We need more information.

Download the version of this tool for your operating system.
Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (64 bit)
Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (32 bit)
and save it to a folder on your computer's Desktop.
Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
Press Scan button.
It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

How to attach a file to your reply:
In the Reply section in the bottom of the topic Click the "more reply Options" button.

Attach the file.
Select the "Choose a File" navigate to the location of the File.
Click the file you wish to Attach.
Click Attach this file.
Click the Add reply button.

Apologies but it turned out to be a glitch with the account.  All of the pc in the office were not on the parent account and so they reverted to free.  Once I reapplies the license keys everything went back to normal, not one virus or malware was found after repeated scans with rootkit enabled
