Aheriez Posted February 13, 2019 ID:1298405 Share Posted February 13, 2019 Here’s a bit of backstory: I installed BitTorrent, but I forgot to tick off the part where it tries to download an additional program. I had uninstalled the program (Web Companion), installed Malwarebytes, scanned, and totaled to around 2.2k PUP files and around 10 malwares (Some of them said Generic, others said Trojan.Bitcoin something). My mom had told me to turn off the computer, so I did, and rebooted it. (Malwarebytes has not finished so it had stopped) Then I proceeded to boot it up again, but everything was so slow, so I shut down my computer and unplugged the Ethernet cable. So what next? Is my computer beyond saveable? How long do I have left? Can I still recover photos and resumes? (This is on a family computer) I will attempt to fix it tommorow, lmk what I should do. Thanks!
