does malawarebytes premium include AdwCleaner? If so, how do I have it scan

When Malawarebytes premium scans on mozilla firefox it returns a message that www.weatherforecasttracker1.com is blocked. It does not appear in scan results either as quarantined or delated. It is obviously still there and active because it automatically dowloads a bunch of other things - allergy report national radar detailed forecast illnesses. I asked malawarebytes support how to remove it, I got no answer except to try AdwCleaner. what heppened next was confusing so I don't know - though I asked! - if AdwCleaner was included in malawarebyte premium, which I have or is this a separate membership and fee.

Thanks for any help, please. flcasale

Hello @flcasale and :welcome:

No membership is required and Malwarebytes AdwCleaner has never been monetized and is a publicly available portable/standalone tool which may be downloaded from >> here <<

Although it is not currently an integral module, within Malwarebytes 3 for Windows, many theorize it will be rolled into that flagship product soon.

Please consider downloading adwcleaner_7.2.7.0.exe and scan only.  Then, for expert analysis, attach the scan report file from

C:\AdwCleaner\Logs\AdwCleaner[S00].txt to your next reply here.

Thank you.

What 1PW says above is accurate.  Malwarebytes maintains ADWCleaner and continues to offer it completely free of charge, and while the ultimate goal is to integrate all of its capabilities into Malwarebytes, which itself is available as a free scan/removal tool for an unlimited number of scans/uses (only the real-time protection and scheduler are exclusive to the paid/Premium product), ADWCleaner still detects and removes some PUPs that Malwarebytes 3 does not due to its unique engine, signatures and capabilities.

Also, the CEO has stated on many occasions that Malwarebytes will always be free for scanning/remediation/removal of threats so I expect that regardless of if or when ADWCleaner gets integrated into Malwarebytes, that Malwarebytes will continue to be available as a free on-demand scanner/threat removal tool.
