Not all devices are shown on my license devices list?

I have 0 of 4 available devices, meaning I cannot use my key on any new devices I get. Only two of them are showing and the other two are not there but are clearly still taking up space on the license preventing me from using it in the future if needed. How do I get these ghost devices off my license?

If you haven’t already done so, please run the Malwarebytes Support Tool and then attach the logs in your next reply:

  1. Download Malwarebytes Support Tool
  2. Once the file is downloaded, open your Downloads folder/location of the downloaded file
  3. Double-click mb-support-X.X.X.XXXX.exe to run the program
    • You may be prompted by User Account Control (UAC) to allow changes to be made to your computer. Click Yes to consent.
  4. Place a checkmark next to Accept License Agreement and click Next
  5. You will be presented with a page stating, "Get Started!"
  6. Click the Advanced tab

  8. A progress bar will appear and the program will proceed with getting logs from your computer

  9. Upon completion, click a file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your Desktop. Click OK

Greetings,

I believe this can happen sometimes when you remove or deactivate the software on a single device and then reinstall/reactivate it later.  That would explain the phantom activations taking up your remaining licenses/device activations.  You should be able to correct this by using the Deactivate all link at the bottom right of the Manage devices interface.  That should reset your license activations to 0, then you'd just need to activate your two devices normally again and that should leave you with your additional 2 remaining license activations.

There may be another way to resolve the issue, however it would likely involve contacting Malwarebytes Support directly as I believe they have direct access to the backend of the license activation/management system.  If you wish to go that route instead then it would be best to contact them via one of the options found on this page and they will assist you.
