I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question so if a moderator needs to move it, please do so.

I may be missing this, but when I log in to this forum, I see all the topics but don't see any way to know that I've viewed ALL responses to that topic.

I know I can mark something "read", but if I view a post and come back later, I have no idea if I've read any additional posts since my last visit.

Other forums (Norton and Macrium Reflect to name two) either show how many posts in a topic you haven't read or make the topic bold face to signify there's something new.

Is that function here? It may be something simple that I've missed but would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction. Thank you.

It should show in bold with a dot or star next to it if there is one or more replies in a topic since the last time you viewed it.  A star means it is a topic that you have posted in and a dot means it is a topic you haven't posted in.  See the example below which shows at least one example of each:

topics.png.854487eff728fb4aba92875cb0b193ff.png

The first topic is one I haven't read yet or haven't seen the most recent response to yet and that I have not personally responded to.  The second is a topic I've read with no new replies so far and that I have no posted in.  The next 3 are just like the first one; topics I haven't posted in with one or more posts I haven't seen/read yet.  The last one is a topic I've personally posted in with no new replies/posts since the last time I read/viewed it.

Thanks for the quick response. I figured it was something simple, I just didn't know what the protocol for that was here. I guess I always have seen that bold dot because I hadn't seen all the posts. I tried and read all the posts in a topic, exited the forums and then came back and the dot was gone from that  topic.

I've been running the premium version now for almost 2 years and have never encountered any of the problems I read about here. Lucky or not running a complicated mix of programs that may cause a glitch. I run this in conjunction with Norton and haven't had any program conflicts or encountered any malware or viruses so I feel very comfortable right now.

Thank you again.

There are also 'Mark site read' button top and bottom right of the page.
Clicking either of these will mark everything as being read.

Once I am sure I have read all the posts that I want to, I click this and everything else also gets marked as read.

So next time I visit the site it only shows the dot/star and bold titles for threads/posts that have something new in them.
