Check if computer is infected

Hello @Lee4u2envy

Please follow the directions here to reset Chrome.

Let me know if that helps any or not. You have some programs crashing but no obvious reason why. We may need to run some repairs and see if that helps. The logs don't seem to indicate an infection.

Thanks

Ron

Okay, let's try another antivirus scanner. I don't think the computer is infected but we'll double-check

Please download and run the following Kaspersky antivirus scanner to remove any found threats

Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool

Let me know if it finds anything or not

Ron

Please run a hard drive check on your system. Check in your Device Manager for what brand of drive you have and then get the correct test program based on that research. You can search online for the drive numbers to see which manufacturer it is.

This site has links to most of the testing software

Let me know how the testing turns out please.

Okay, please download this version and see if it works. It may not because it's only for Western Digital drives, but since they bought HST hopefully it might.

Windows version of the Data LifeGuard Diagnostics. It will test WD internal and external drives. In additional, it can provide you with the model and serial of WD drives attached to the system.
