Unable to access any anti-virus/malware web sites

Hello,

I have a computer on a domain that has a wierd infection that does not allow access to any anti-malware or anti-spyware web site. The pings to them sites don't even resolve, however pings to the sites do resolve from other computers on the network. The sites include:

symantec.com, malwarebytes.org, avg.com, trendmicro.com, safer-networking.com, and more.

So, I downloaded malwarebytes and AVG, among other programs to the file server and installed them from there. I am unable to update any anti-malware or anti-virus program. I ran malwarebytes and successfully removed the worm.koobface worm. I have two AV programs installed, please don't lecture me on that, I plan on uninstalling the AVG after the scan is complete. A full scan of malwarebytes is currently running, and 4 hours into the scan there are 0 objects infected. The AVG scan is coming up clean also, with the exception of some cookies. I took a hijackthis scan and ran it through www.hijackthis.de and removed a few entries.

Below is a hijackthis scan as of right now:

More things that I have tried:

trendmicro's rootkit remover and cwshredder.

We are probably going to wipe and reload. But in case I get a reply here first, Here is the up to date hijackthis scan after I removed AVG:

Welcome to the forum Cheri

Download and run gmer (use the download exe button) from here >

http://www.gmer.net/#files

Double click GMER. If asked to allow gmer.sys driver to load, please consent .

If it gives you a warning about rootkit activity and asks if you want to run scan click on NO, then use the following settings for a more complete scan..

In the right panel, you will see several boxes that have been checked. Uncheck the following ...

Sections

IAT/EAT

Drives/Partition other than Systemdrive (typically C:\)

Show All (don't miss this one)

Then click the Scan button & wait for it to finish.
