deweymitch53 Posted December 29, 2018 ID:1289585 Share Posted December 29, 2018 I just installed the latest Malwarebytes with no problems (Windows 7 Premium). Registered it and all was happy. A little while later I noticed I could not access any web sites. Error was "windows 7 cannot auto detect proxy settings" on IE or Chrome. After an hour I was thinking the only difference before and after was Malwarebytes. I uninstalled it and all is fine and dandy now. What happened and is there a fix? deweymitch53 Posted January 5, 2019 Author ID:1290805 Share Posted January 5, 2019 First I must apologize because the problem was not with Malwarebytes but with my computer. I noticed that other programs were acting strange later. Talking to a friend who works in IT he told me that my HD was going to fail soon (he ran some tests). So, new HD, reinstalled OS spent almost a day getting all 161 updates etc. I reinstalled Malwarebytes and all is happy. Thank you for your response Dwight
