hogwartsjedi Posted September 9, 2009 ID:123546 Share Posted September 9, 2009 Hi Folks,I've run MBAM before and have had great success with it. But now, it's not working for me. I've been hit with something, and I think it's something pretty big. I'm getting the Antivirus Pro 2010 bs, I can't open up task manager to close it--when I hit ctrlaltdel it gives me a "Application cannot be executed. File is infected. Please run your anti spyware software" or something to that extent. So I try to run MBAM, which is completely updated. About ten seconds into the scan, it disappears. When I try to open it again, I get the following message: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access item."Rawr. Insert frustrated screams and threats to throw the computer out the window >HERE<Anyone have any suggestions? I'm desperate, but can't afford to take the computer in to get it fixed professionally!ThanksShan

I can't even run Malware. I ran the HijackThis and that too disappears like Malware does. I can't even open Notepad, because that too gives me the "Application cannot be executed. The file is infected. Please activate your antivirus software."So now what?
