JazzyJeffJax Posted December 24, 2018 ID:1288917 Share Posted December 24, 2018 I opened the program this morning and a pop up indicated 7.2.6 was available. I clicked to update. After the progress bar was almost to the end, I received a "failure" notice. It shows 7.2.6 at the top of the window. Is there a way to know if it all downloaded. Can I download it again? Thanks for your help.

1PW Posted December 25, 2018 ID:1288939 Share Posted December 25, 2018 Hello @JazzyJeffJax: Although other such sites do exist, it is likely that the most popular file integrity checker on the Internet is VirusTotal.com. If your adwcleaner_7.2.6.0.exe file is uploaded to VirusTotal, the analysis should exactly match: https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/8e75e3f6eafbea3c775dfbfd1c61dcb699e69e05265db6f295777b291f530e19/detection If it does not, delete the file and download from https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/ or the developers archives at https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/files/ and select the most recent Release version. Then, repeat the above integrity check process. Please post a reply to this topic and tell everyone how it went. Thank you
Maurice Naggar Posted December 25, 2018 ID:1289007 Share Posted December 25, 2018 Hello @JazzyJeffJax For your informatipn. The message you saw is a known quirk. I believe the message is a unfortunate spelling/ translastion. You only just need to close the program ( after that update run) and then just simply re-open. It will show version 7.2.6.
Elisabeth Posted December 27, 2018 ID:1289214 Share Posted December 27, 2018 Hi @JazzyJeffJax, Yes, it's a translation error. It'll be fixed in 7.2.7. Sorry for the inconveniences.
