Hello @JazzyJeffJax:

Although other such sites do exist, it is likely that the most popular file integrity checker on the Internet is VirusTotal.com.

If your adwcleaner_7.2.6.0.exe file is uploaded to VirusTotal, the analysis should exactly match:

https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/8e75e3f6eafbea3c775dfbfd1c61dcb699e69e05265db6f295777b291f530e19/detection

If it does not, delete the file and download from https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/ or the developers archives at https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/files/ and select the most recent Release version.  Then, repeat the above integrity check process.

Please post a reply to this topic and tell everyone how it went.

Thank you

Hello @JazzyJeffJax

For your informatipn.

The message you saw is a known quirk.  I believe the message is a unfortunate spelling/ translastion.  You only just need to close the program ( after that update run) and then just simply re-open.   It will show version 7.2.6.0
