What are you trying to exclude exactly, and which component of Malwarebytes is blocking it?

If it is an issue with the Web Protection component blocking access to a website/server used by the game then you should be able to exclude the game's main executable (or whatever executable is listed as being blocked by Malwarebytes' Web Protection component, assuming that is the component blocking it) via the method described in the Exclude an Application that Connects to the Internet section of this support article.

If that did not resolve the issue, then we'll need a bit more detail to determine what's going on.  First, please let us know what game(s) it is that you're trying to run that Malwarebytes is blocking and do the following so that we can check your Malwarebytes installation and settings to verify that it is installed properly and functioning as it should be:

  1. Download and run the Malwarebytes Support Tool
  2. Accept the EULA and click Advanced tab on the left (not Start Repair)
  3. Click the Gather Logs button, and once it completes, attach the zip file it creates on your desktop to your next reply

Please let us know if the issue is resolved or provide the above requested information if the issue persists.

Can you please take a screenshot to show where it is greyed out?  This will help us to troubleshoot the issue.  Also, please run the tool I requested and attack the logs so that we may check on your Malwarebytes installation.  There could be a problem with Malwarebytes configuration files or settings that the logs may show.

This sounds like you're in free mode, which means there's no need to add exclusions of those types because we don't interact with those types of programs. The only thing that free mode does is scans, which is why you can exclude files/folders.

Ah, gotcha. OK, no problem then. Thanks for your time!
