False Alarm? Real? Anti-Ransomware

Recommended Posts

Hello, and thanks for your help and time.

Every scan shows me this notification (on Galaxy S9 running Oreo):

"Malwarebytes:  Anti-Ransomware Protection: app at path /storage/3732-3838/rer..."

now it looks to me like it found a file on my microSD card, in my backup app files (MyBackup Pro).  But whenever I click on the alert, it just takes me to the MBAM app, and it doesn't show me which file is infected or suspicious, so I don't know what to delete.

Please help with suggestions.  I appreciate it!

In addition, by shrinking the font on my screen way down, I see that it's an app in one of my backup files, but still MBAM still does and shows nothing when I run the app: no mention of any infected files.

?what gives?

@PaulsBoutique Sorry for the inconvenience. Would you mind sharing a screenshot? Which back up method (or software) do you use? Does it create a local back up to your SD card or it pulls to your computer?
