RobR Posted December 2, 2018 ID:1284304 Share Posted December 2, 2018 Sophos has detected Mal/BredoZP-B several times this year. If I check on details, I am taken to the folder C:\PROGRAMDATA\MALWAREBYTES\MBAMSERVICE. The following is one of 21 files - detected components of the virus/spyware Mal/BredoZp-B, C:\PROGRAMDATA\MALWAREBYTES\MBAMSERVICE\09cf849ea21d11e890c5b888e3174bf4. Do you have any knowledge of this ? It would seem it is really going to mess up my Malwarebytes application on PC. Fortunately, is is removed when detected. Attached the summary from the Sophos site. Kind Regards Rob Summary Mal_BredoZp-B.pdf
Staff shadowwar Posted December 2, 2018 Staff ID:1284332 Share Posted December 2, 2018 These files are the result of our shuriken detection heuristics. Sophos is most likely getting in the way of malwarebytes processing and then deleting the file. If you exclude this directory in Sophos this should no longer happen.
