Disable Malwarebytes during gameplay

Recommended Posts

A couple of things have surfaced since I updated to Windows 10 Update 1803 recently. I have come to think that Malwarebytes Premium is causing my system to drop out of the game, its still running in another window, but the system jumps to the desktop and I get a notification that Malwarebytes Notifications have been turned off and do I want to turn it back on. My whole reason for updating to the 1803 update was to get the Gaming feature that allows me to stop all background processes and especially those that would activate a screen notification. It is really irritating when I am in the middle of a crucial play in Madden 19 and a notification prompts the game to pop the desktop screen. What I would like to do is disable that feature during game play and reactivate it after I'm done playing. I play my games off-line so I'm not really worried about virus coming through to my system during play.

The second thing is that since I did the 1803 update, the only thing that I get is the Exploit protection and the other three are turned off. I can't toggle them to on either. Can't figure what's wrong and I was hoping that someone knew?

I have a feeling I did something foolish. I decided to uninstall the windows updates that just got installed since they were interfering with a couple of programs that I was using and now I've been waiting for well over an hour for this to happen. My PC screen keeps sitting on the welcome screen with no login text, so I only assume that it is still working on getting the updates uninstalled. Thoughts?

I stopped the process and now my user files are messed up (they're on a different drive so not being recognized). It also messed up a few of my programs, one of which is a staple for me won't even open now.

Since all my data is on separate drives and the C: drive is only my OS drive I'm going to wipe and reinstall a fresh copy of windows. I know this is a pain but I've found in the past that problems with windows 10 cascading into worse issue due to an OOPS like this can really be nerve racking.

When I get windows 10 back on the C: drive what would be the best procedure for reinstalling my copy of Malwarebytes?

Not that I know of. I have been using it a lot lately because I have another program that I can't get to run properly after the reinstall of W10. It keeps freezing and giving me a Lua Error and then I have to end the program via the TaskManager. Not that you need to or anything, but do you have any ideas why I would be getting the attached error or could you point me in the right direction. Getting in touch with the programmer is hard and no one else on that forum is having an issue with it. I can only think that it is a anti-virus protection issue, since it has to be one of my exclusions to run. The program ran perfectly fine before.
