Malwarebytes Premium vs Malwarebytes AntiMalware Premium

Recommended Posts

I hope I may be able to get some clarity on my issue in this forum, as Customer Support hasn't answered my question.

Is there a difference between Premium and AntiMalware Premium? I seem to have purchased both, one for AU$59.99 and the other for AU$34.95. I am unable to find out whether I need both subscriptions or whether the $35.95 for the AntiMalware Premium is just duplicating what the Premium does.

Can anybody shed some light on this please?

Malwarebytes 3 is the same product which was previously called Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, assuming you are referring to the Windows consumer/home user product, however the difference in pricing likely has to do with the number of devices protected by each subscription/license you purchased.  The $59.99 version covers 3 devices for 1 year I believe while the $34.95 version is for a single device for 1 year.  While the pricing isn't the same, you can take a look at the pricing here and as you will see it is quite similar ($39.99 and $59.99 currently).

Now, with that said, there have been several changes, additions and improvements to the product over the past several years so much more has changed than just the name, and you can learn more about the various layers and components in Malwarebytes 3 and how they work to protect your system by reviewing the diagram and information found on this page and you can find out more about why the name and pricing was changed by reading the information in this support article.

You can also manage and view you subscription details and see where each license/activation is currently installed by signing up for/logging into My.Malwarebytes.com as documented in this support article.

I hope I've been helpful and if there is anything else we might assist you with please don't hesitate to let us know.
