Greetings,

I'm not a lawyer and that's who you'd probably need to ask to find out for certain, however I am aware of this court case, although that was dealing with the classification of an application, not a website, though the circumstances and judgement may be relevant given the situation.

If they do wish to take legal action then they will probably need to contact/have their lawyer contact Malwarebytes (I believe the email address is legal@malwarebytes.com, though anyone from the Malwarebytes staff may correct me if that is inaccurate).

Other than that, you/your friend may submit a report here on the forums to request a review by the Malwarebytes Research team if you/they believe it is a false positive and the team will investigate further and respond, including whitelisting the site if they find that it is indeed a false positive and doesn't meet their criteria for blocking sites.
