sjonsjine Posted November 9, 2018 ID:1280142 Share Posted November 9, 2018 Can't get rid of this Chrome extention, also browsing in Firefox is impossible (connection is not secure - This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that Firefox may only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate). I followed this 2 times: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-msn-homepage-and-bing-search-engine-extension#print And this one: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/214325-chrome-secure-preferences-detection-always-comes-back/ So I cleaned it all, removed a lot of trash. Now with AdwCleaner it only and still finds a PUP Chrome extention MSN Homepage & Bing Search Engine. After removing and new startup, when opening Chrome browser I see a windows called "MSN Homepage & Bing Search Engine" added. Waiting for couple of seconds for decision to make, Enable extension or Remove from Chrome. When I wait too long this extension has been added, I choose Remove! After a restart nothing has changed, AdwCleaner finds this extension again. There must be something on my computer but all these virus/ malware programs are not able to delete it. Yes AdwCleaner finds it and asks to clean it but after restart it's the same thing again. Please please please can someone help me? By the way, I tried to setup an account at this forum with my freddy.peters@gmail.com but this was also impossible, am I being hacked? Help!!! Thank you so much!
