Malwarebytes for Mac will not update

Greetings Wise Ones.  This problem may have been reported on previous threads, so apologies for not trawling though the history.

I am continually unable to update my Malwarebytes Premium installation.  This has been the situation for several months and the only way around the problem is to download a completely new copy of the application.  I am now running Version 3.5.26, download a few days ago.

What am I doing wrong?

My understanding is that updates are still being metered out so that servers aren't overloaded each time there is a new release.

If you are using a 3rd party firewall (e.g. Little Snitch) check to make sure that all Malwarebytes requests for connection have been enabled.
