It appears you're running Vista. If it's the 64 bit version you can safely have Malwarebytes' ignore this detection as the default setting in that OS is different from that of XP, which is the OS that this detection was created for.

For additional information you can take a look at this very long topic on the subject, although it will likely tell you more than you ever wanted to know about it (I warn you, it's 4 pages long ).

This detection threw me for a loop at first as well (you'll notice I posted in the thread long ago that I linked you to), but after some research it was made clear that this particular setting was supposed to be that way in Vista x64 (I believe it is the same for Windows 7 x64 as well).

it's great to have someone to speak to exile. FYI, i also ran the Malwarebytes Antimalware and it did not tell me i have any infections. My ESET program told me i am clean too. Do you think I can safely say my system is ok if all three give me negative results?

Yes, like I said, this is actually the default setting for your version of Windows so you should be fine . ESET is an excellent antivirus by the way, and one of the few that I highly recommend.

On another forum people keep telling me to get "sandboxie" and if i do i wont need to worry about the sites i visit. i am a link clicker, i know, its risky lol

do what do you think?

I don't use it myself, but I've been told by many very knowlegable users that it works well. Just keep in mind that there is no 100% solution, and there are rare cases where certain infections can still get through SandBoxie.

I personally use Sandboxie and think it is great. I sometimes use it to test software, or when browsing

Not to scare you, but your computer can become infected by browsing on any site, not just hacker sites. Facebook or twitter are popular examples. Any site can be hijacked or injected with malicious code. The key is safe browsing and a layered approach to security. Using a more secure browser, a HOSTS file (ex. HpHosts or MVP Hosts), and other security tools that I'm sure others might mention. I don't want to take all the thunder

For the most part, yes. However, I always recommend a layered approach to security as I don't trust any group of malware researchers, no matter how good and dedicated they are, to be able to detect every single threat on the web on any given day. You certainly don't need to go to the extreme that I have (which you can see in my signature at the bottom of my posts), but adding another realtime protection would probably be a good idea, just in case ESET does miss something. That's actually what Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware was created for: to catch the internet threats that the majority of antiviruses either fail to detect or fail to remove.
