MalwareBytes Premium for MAC - Update Notification then Download Fails

After being prompted to download the latest version I click through, the download starts and zips through the progress bar, then ends and the message says, "Unable to Download, check your Internet connection."  My connection is fine, a  75/75 FIOS.

This problem is reliably consistent.   So far I have tried uninstalling using the built-in uninstall tool and reinstalling.  I have done this twice.

Do you have some kind of outgoing firewall that may be blocking connections, such as Little Snitch or Lulu?

If so, you will need to review any such software and ensure it is not blocking connections that Malwarebytes needs to function properly. See page 2 in the user guide:

In the External Access Requirements section under System Requirements, there is a list of servers that Malwarebytes needs to be able to communicate with. Ensure that none of the following Malwarebytes processes are prevented from accessing those servers:

Malwarebytes Agent
FrontendAgent
RTProtectionDaemon
SettingsDaemon
