Website blocked due to Trojan: yahoomail.com,

Recommended Posts

Hi All-

Commencing this morning, I've been getting a "Website blocked due to Trojan" message when trying to fire up yahoo mail from the "home" button I've defined in Chrome (i.e. yahoomail.com) .  (Apologies for still having a yahoo.mail account, but it is 30 years old and still serves a useful purpose...Apologies also for being a newbie and relatively un-technical)

I'm using MWB Premium on a W10 machine, and am using Chrome. I've run multiple MWB and Avast scans, but nothing has been detected.  I've also typed the yahoo.com url directly into a Chrome browser window, and accessed yahoo mail thru that path and DO NOT get the MWB "Website blocked..." message...

Soooo....Could it be that when I click on the home button, there is an undetected trojan that's trying to redirect me somewhere else, and that's causing the "Website blocked" alert?  If so, wouldn't some other domain and IP address show other than that shown in the log info below? (I've checked ownership of the IP address, and it owned by yahoo...)

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.
