In version 3.x Chameleon only exists as a self-protection driver that is included with Malwarebytes to guard its processes, files, folders and registry keys from malicious termination, deletion and modification, however the renaming technology that was once used to get Malwarebytes installed and running is no longer included and has not been updated for version 3.x.  The reason for this is primarily because the bad guys have mostly moved on from using the kinds of tactics that the renaming technology in Chameleon was designed to counteract so it hasn't been necessary to continue providing it.

If that changes and the bad guys revert to their old tactics of targeting/blocking Malwarebytes by name then I expect the renaming tech will be rebuilt for version 3.x, however in my experience the bad guys very seldom revert to old tactics that were used in the past.

You're welcome.  It wasn't in any notifications, it was just one of the changes made when version 3 was developed which was a major overhaul to the entire codebase and UI.  It included a very large number of changes and new features and they decided against including Chameleon since it wasn't very useful any more and would essentially be a waste of space.

Though as I mentioned, if the bad guys do start blocking Malwarebytes that way again, I'm certain that Chameleon or something like it will return (assuming the Developers and Researchers don't come up with an even more clever solution in the meantime, which is always a possibility).
