What Is That Small Red Pyramid?

Recommended Posts

Perhaps it's always been there... but in my system tray I noticed a tiny red pyramid at the bottom of my blue 'M" MalwareBytes icon .  Does it mean anything... like "The Russians Are Coming!"  and I somehow missed it on the TV?

Nat, just wondering...

The red triangle/orange triangle means that there is something insecure in Malwarebytes, and this type of status is generally accompanied by some kind of notification.  To check on the status of Malwarebytes, open the main Malwarebytes UI either by double-clicking the Malwarebytes tray icon or by launching the Malwarebytes shortcut on your desktop or in your START menu.  The main Dashboard tab should display the status of Malwarebytes and inform you what the problem is, such as protection being disabled or your databases being out of date.  Once you determine what the problem is, we can guide you on correcting it if you are unable to do so via the information presented in the Dashboard.

Hmm I don't recall seeing it before.. but the only "notice" I see is the one I think has been there for a long time as to why I should update as it says "Your Program version is out of date"... yet I still run xp pro and I think my V2.x program  is the only one which will run on xp pro sp3. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
