obsidian2 Posted October 3, 2018 ID:1273132 Share Posted October 3, 2018 I have a question for both the forum members & the Malwarebytes team, Does Malwarebytes have a product that the general public can purchase, its a tune up your computer program tool, which goes through all the files on your computer and rectifies any faults with things like the registry, and other computer related issues that need to be resolved, like reinstalling missing files say for the CD player, or other similar issues ? I used to be a customer of AVG they had a program that I could download that could do all of this, I said goodbye to AVG to purchase Malwarebytes as I think its a far superior antivirus and Malware destroyer, but I don't want to now go back to AVG to purchase this product if Malwarebytes has its own product. However, in general, the majority of these tools are close to being snake-oil. ( a product, policy, etc. of little real worth or value that is promoted as the solution to a problem ) If you have a problem with a computer you should fix that problem and not just throw a hundred fixes at the computer that may or may not have even been valid years ago. Often these tools make changes that were only valid for Windows many years ago, some they make were never good fixes. If you're missing core operating system files then you should run a System File Checker scan to fix it. SFC /SCANNOW Windows 7 and 10 already run many automated routines to keep their health in good shape. If something comes along and breaks the computer then seeking out a forum like here or similar and having someone knowledgable assist you in fixing that issue would be a much better choice. Just make sure the person helping you does have experience. If you're currently having issues please let us know and I'm sure we can assist you in fixing it or at least discussing what's going on with it.
