Minitool Partition Wizard: riskware?

Recommended Posts

(if my question isn't in the right section, please mod, move it)

A few days ago I upgraded my Minitool Partition Wizard (freewareversion)

Using it for the first time, I got a popup:   image.png.b3522f5d3de7bdf20664a971fc6fbe1b.png

The next mornig I got this:   image.png.00c977e63ca993ed37c00bcc2232ba03.png

A friend of mine installed the program in a VM (new install)  and let check it out by Virustotal with this result:

                                                  image.png.63328d9112c9f63a496eb6a8e49fd786.png

So, my question: is Minitool infected ?

Hello,

Looks like the WebDiscover Browser is a browser hijacker.

I am removing the domain block in your first screenshot.

Hi,

Yes this is bundling the PUP WebDiscoverBrowser. We're not removing the actual program in question. Only the bundled software.

What does this means? Do I have to do something?
