Hello, I have read some of the past threads on this, but none of the answers has helped to fix the problem.

First I used the mwb removal tool and did a clean installation and that didn't make any difference.

I have attached the requisite log files and hope someone can help

Thank you in advance,

Marc W. - Everything Graphic

Hello @MarcW

That is probably due to some type of network issue not being able to contact our server. You can see in the Event Logs that Windows Defender is having an issue getting updates too.
There is also a disk error on one of your drives. Not sure if those are virtual drives or RAM or what as they're listed as no space on them.

Windows Defender:
===================================
Date: 2018-09-11 12:45:40.961
Description:
Windows Defender Antivirus has encountered an error trying to update signatures.
New Signature Version:
Previous Signature Version: 1.275.852.0
Update Source: Microsoft Malware Protection Center
Signature Type: AntiVirus
Update Type: Full
Current Engine Version:
Previous Engine Version: 1.1.15200.1
Error code: 0x80072ee7
Error description: The server name or address could not be resolved

The Master File Table (MFT) contains a corrupted file record.  The file reference number is 0x1000000000000.  The name of the file is "<unable to determine file name>".

Error: (09/17/2018 11:42:10 AM) (Source: Ntfs) (EventID: 55) (User: NT AUTHORITY)
Description: A corruption was discovered in the file system structure on volume \\?\Volume{a4fe9f49-c965-4c72-8b06-29ce5f2168f8}.

\\?\Volume{a4fe9f49-c965-4c72-8b06-29ce5f2168f8}\ () (Fixed) (Total:0 GB) (Free:0 GB)

I would highly suggest you run a disk check on all your drives to ensure data integrity. From an elevated Admin command prompt you can type in the following.

CHKDSK C: /F

Then run again for each drive you have.  D, E, F, etc.

As for the DNS not finding the servers I'd try a different DNS server and see if that corrects the issue. If not, then let me know and we can review for a possible rootkit.

Google offers a free DNS solution.   8.8.8.8   and  8.8.4.4

https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/

Thanks, Ron
