Webwatcher Removal Failed

Recommended Posts

I talked with jbost1973 privately... it looks like we've got a bug that the WebWatcher folks are taking full advantage of to prevent us from removing their stuff. (Shame on them! We've been giving them the benefit of the doubt by calling the software a PUP - meaning it's only potentially unwanted, with the implication that there's the possibility for legitimate use. But this behavior of finding and exploiting a bug in our software to prevent removal is malware behavior. ? Maybe we should think about re-classifying them.)

We're working on fixing the bug.
