Kenzie1234 Posted September 11, 2018 ID:1268939 Share Posted September 11, 2018 Hi, I had a PUP scare yesterday with a PUP.BrowserHistoryStealer (Malwarebytes caught it) and I've been really freaking out about it. I've been using Malwarebytes to continue scan and I notice it will scan over some other PUPs like PUP.Optional.Crossrider and Adware.Crossrider and I'm not sure what this means...can you please help me? I've changed my passwords on another computer, but I'm still afraid that my information has been stolen... Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Staff treed Posted September 11, 2018 Staff ID:1268970 Share Posted September 11, 2018 PUP.BrowserHistoryStealer is a group of several apps from the App Store that have been documented to have been collecting your browser history. Your browser history only includes websites you have visited recently, not passwords or anything else like that. Note that the names of things that you see during a scan are things Malwarebytes is looking for, not things it has detected. If something is detected, you will be alerted.
