cannot block ads even with Malwarebytes

I have Malwarebytes installed on my Macbook Air as well as iMac.  All the setting are identical.  The applications are identical.Both Macs have the current software.  Both have the same extensions.  

I have no adware on my iMac, but I cannot stop adware on my Macbook Air. Help please

Are you trying to block ads that are normal for the site(s) in question? If so, be aware that Malwarebytes for Mac does not include any kind of ad blocking functionality. You would need an ad blocker for that kind of thing. If that's what you need, we have a browser extension in beta testing for Chrome and Firefox that will do ad blocking:

We don't have one for Safari yet.

If what you're seeing is not normal ads, we would need more information to be able to help. In this case, can you describe what you're seeing?
