My laptop is about 2 years old and is suddenly running as if its much older. Everything is running very slowly. I can't browse the web, stream any videos, or run programs / games without major lag. I've noticed a new folder in my users that hasn't always been there. Its got only my first name, but my actual user account has my first and middle name. There are only 2 files inside the folder HRUPPORG.EXIT and HRUPPORG a txt file. I've ran multiple virus scans and nothing ever came back. I'm not really sure what to do at this point. So hoping someone here can help.

Hi,

===

Please run the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool. Enter HRUPPORG.* in the Search Box and hit the File Search button.
Post the content of the Search.txt in your next reply.
===

Lets also see what we can find in the Registry.

Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) - Registry Search
Follow the instructions below to download and execute a Registry search on your system with FRST, and provide the log in your next reply.

  • Right-click on the executable and select Run as Administrator (for Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 users);
  • Accept the disclaimer by clicking on Yes, and FRST will then do a back-up of your Registry which should take a few seconds;
  • In the Search text area, copy and paste the following:

HRUPPORG

  • Once done, click on the Search Registry button and wait for FRST to finish the search;
  • On completion, a log will open in Notepad. Copy and paste its content in your next reply;

Please post the logs for my review.
