Valkyrie005 Posted August 31, 2018 ID:1266719 Share Posted August 31, 2018 Hi, Malwarebytes just popped up out of nowhere with this detection on a running program: -Blocked Malware Details- File: 1 Adware.DLAssistant.Generic, C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Scribe\hookappcommand.dll, Delete-on-Reboot, [9270], [559772],1.0.6583 I'm pretty sure this is a false positive. I uploaded the file to both VirusTotal and Jotti and they came back with zero results. The program in question (ExpressScribe) hasn't been modified or updated since 2017. I use it pretty much daily for work. MWB also ran a scheduled scan a couple of days ago and didn't find anything malicious, so I assume this is from a new definitions update since then. I've attached the full log as well as the file in question. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help.
