Can't open Malwarebytes Premium - ..because mbcut.dll was not found

Before this happened, I noticed the Malwarebytes tray icon (in windows 10) showed that Web Protection was turned off, even though it was was turned on in the Malwarebytes dashboard, where the toggle switch was inoperative.  I was unable to change this, even after restarting.  I remembered this happened about a year ago with an update, and it somehow got fixed.

Malwaebytes seemed to be up to date, but jsut to check, in my settings I clicked what appeared to be an update button (I don't remember exactly what the wording was).  It downloaded, asked to restart, which I did, but then Malwarebytes was no longer in my tray, and trying to open it from from the Windows program list, I got the error "the code execution cannot proceed because mbcut.dll was not found.  Reinstalling the program may fix the problem."

I read a previous post that gave a link to download the program to reinstall, but that appears to be for the free version, not the premium, I think. Help would be greatly appreciated.  Attached is Zip file of log.

Yes, reinstalling the program should fix this.  There seems to be an issue that occurs occasionally with one of the program updates that causes this and I believe the team is investigating it.  In the meantime, the installer for both free and Premium is the same, the only difference is that free converts to Premium once your license information is entered so all you need to do is download and install the latest version from here and then restart your system, then open Malwarebytes and go to Settings>About and verify that both of the following version numbers match what is shown in the image below:

If the second number doesn't match, then go to the Application sub-tab and click on the Install Application Updates button and allow it to download and install the patch, then once it is installed, verify that the version info matches the above image and restart your system to make sure that the latest components are loaded and that Malwarebytes is now working properly.

Please let us know how it goes.
