Computer Freezing Every Few Minutes

I'm devastated by the number of ongoing problems with malwarebytes. on my PC the version 3.5.1 premium causes 3-4 freezes every couple of minutes. On my phone malwarebytes 3.3.1.6 has slowed it to a crawl and burns electricity like there is no tomorrow. Is there any solution in the pipeline? This is not the first time that malwarebytes has had major issues.
