Malwarebytes reverted to Trial version

Recommended Posts

Windows 7 laptop with Malwarebytes 3.5.1 Premium licenced version expires in November 2018. At some point in the last six weeks laptop been infected with a Trojan. When I ran a Malwarebytes scan it found and quarantined satisfactorily but I noticed that the version had reverted to Trial version. I put activate code in and all back to Premium. Are there Trojans than can revert version of Malwarebytes back to Trial or has something else happened? Please assist as this is worrying...

Hi,
===

Other than this long entry entry,  nothing is suspicious in your logs.
HKU\S-1-5-21-2593875123-4118071847-2521945461-1001\...\Run: [Logicntity] => cmd.exe /C "powershell -ec

Please download the attached Fixlist.txt file to  the same folder where the Farbar tool is running from.
The location is listed in the 3rd line of the FRST.txt log you have submitted.

Run FRST and click Fix only once and wait.

The tool will create a log (Fixlog.txt) please post it to your reply.

Please let me know if you have any issues with this computer.

Hi,

It will remove this RUN Key.
HKU\S-1-5-21-2593875123-4118071847-2521945461-1001\...\Run: [Logicntity] ....

The rest is just a clean or,  maintenance.

Open the Fixlist.txt with a text editor and look at it.

Hi,

It's safer to use the script a Restore Point will be created.

If anything goes wrong you will be able to restore it.

Your call if you are at ease with modifying the Registry.

I always backup the Registry before changing anything there, once bitten...  I'll delete that one key. But what do the other entries in that file do? I can't see what they are doing, anything else to worry about re Toolbars etc.?

Thanks for your help

Open the Fixlist with NotePad.

All the entries listed will be removed from the registry.

If you want to keep them just delete what entries you wish to keep.

We are not here to do you damage. We are here to help.
