False Positive Detection

Recommended Posts

My name is Shaun and I work in Restoro as the Virus Lab Manager.

We have been getting complaints from our users about Malwarebytes detecting our software as virus. After checking our files with VirusTotal I see you do report one of them.

We would like to clear this detection as soon as possible.

Current files being detected by Malwarebytes :
File Name: Restoro.exe
MD5: 8e53c7f769116c76a8832723a0f9e709
SHA1: 8945583bc93a905b64fd3c8b8da23c86153f3e4f
SHA256: 6194b85656bde5cb489c8e983aa4fa78dbeee688936c34a6a64905aaf344f7a0

Thank you,Please let me know what we need to do in order to clear our software file in Malwarebytes virus definitions.

After a discussion with my team, this doesn't appear to be a false positive. Please see here for more info:

If you believe your program is incorrectly classified based on the following criteria www.malwarebytes.com/pup, please contact pup AT malwarebytes DOT com.

Only questions submitted to this email address will be reconsidered.
