Looks pretty good. Let me have you run the following please.

Please run the following steps and post back the logs as an attachment when ready.

STEP 01

  • If you're already running Malwarebytes 3 then open Malwarebytes and check for updates. Then click on the Scan tab and select Threat Scan and click on Start Scan button.
  • If you don't have Malwarebytes 3 installed yet please download it from here and install it.
  • Once installed then open Malwarebytes and check for updates. Then click on the Scan tab and select Threat Scan and click on Start Scan button.
  • Once the scan is completed click on the Export Summary button and save the file as a Text file to your desktop or other location you can find, and attach that log on your next reply.
  • If Malwarebytes won't run then please skip to the next step and let me know on your next reply.

STEP 02

Please download AdwCleaner by Malwarebytes and save the file to your Desktop.

  • Right-click on the program and select RunAsAdmin.jpg Run as Administrator to start the tool.
  • Accept the Terms of use.
  • Wait until the database is updated.
  • Click Scan.
  • When finished, please click Clean.
  • Your PC should reboot now if any items were found.
  • After reboot, a log file will be opened. Copy its content into your next reply.

RESTART THE COMPUTER Before running Step 3

STEP 03
Please download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens, click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press the Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it also makes another log (Addition.txt). If you've, run the tool before you need to place a check mark here.
  • Please attach the Additions.txt log to your reply as well.

Thanks

Ron

Please run the following fix. I'll try to reply tomorrow but I may not be able to until Monday.

Please download the attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop.
NOTE. It's important that both files, FRST or FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.

NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on this particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system.

Run FRST or FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait.
If the tool needs a restart please make sure you let the system restart normally and let the tool complete its run after restart.
The tool will make a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please attach or post it to your next reply.

Note: If the tool warned you about an outdated version please download and run the updated version.

fixlist.txt

Once that is completed, please run the other 3 steps again too and post back all logs.

Okay, we've pretty much ruled out an infection being the cause. Though perhaps we should run one more just to make sure.

Please see if the following topic is of any help.

https://www.howtogeek.com/332838/what-is-the-wmi-provider-host-wmiprvse.exe-and-why-is-it-using-so-much-cpu/

Let me have you run the following Kaspersky antivirus scan.

Please download and run the Kaspersky antivirus scanner to remove any found threats

Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool

Let me know if it finds anything. Then look at that article for the WMI issue.

Thanks

Ron

Can you please do a Restore of that file so that I can get a copy of it if Kaspersky has not fully removed it yet. Then you can remove it again.

https://support.kaspersky.com/13001

Once restored, you'll need to zip the file to upload it. If you need help let me know.

Thanks

Ron

At some point Microsoft Windows Defender detected the following on your computer.

PWS:Win32/Fareit.gen!A is a generic detection for a trojan that steals sensitive information from the affected user's computer and sends it to a remote attacker.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/threats/malware-encyclopedia-description?name=PWS%3aWin32%2fFareit.gen!A&threatid=165324

Please update your CCleaner
Your version:  5.12
Current version: v5.45.6611 (24 Jul 2018)
https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/version-history

There is some concern about CPUID CPU-Z 1.75 (if you really don't need this then I'd recommend removal)

I don't keep up on Video Drivers anymore like I used to but according to Guru3D:  Driver Sweeper has been replaced with Display Driver Uninstaller.
If so then I'd suggest removal of Driver Sweeper version 3.2.0 (in fact if you really don't need it then I wouldn't even have it installed myself) and use Display Driver Uninstaller
http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Display Driver Uninstaller DDU  - Display Driver Uninstaller is a driver removal utility that can help you completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA graphics card drivers and packages from your system, without leaving leftovers behind (including registry keys, folders and files, driver store).

NVIDIA: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

AMD (ATI): https://support.amd.com/en-us/download

Intel: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/

Your Firefox browser is very outdated. It is version 48 and the official current version is: 61.0.1 - you should update to the latest version
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/61.0.1/releasenotes/

Your Google Chrome is also out of date. The latest is: Version 68.0.3440.75 (Official Build)
Go to Help.. About and let it update

KMPlayer appears to be at version:  4.2.2.13 and you're on version 3.7.0.113

www.kmpmedia.net which redirects to www.kmplayer.com the downloaded version scans on VirusTotal as 0/66 meaning that no one finds any infection with the installer

Your VyprVPN appears to be on version 2.7.7.6240 the latest versions seems to be 2.13.1.8166
https://www.goldenfrog.com/vyprvpn/windows-download

You have both WinRAR  4.01 and WinRAR 5.40 installed. The latest version appears to be 5.60

Your 7-Zip is ancient at version 9.20 - the latest is version 7-Zip 18.05
https://www.7-zip.org/download.html

Please download the attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop.
NOTE. It's important that both files, FRST or FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.

NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on this particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system.

If the tool needs a restart please make sure you let the system restart normally and let the tool complete its run after restart.
The tool will make a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please attach or post it to your next reply.

Note: If the tool warned you about an outdated version please download and run the updated version.
