/g00/ adware injection

Recommended Posts

I've seen these /g00/ URLS pop up on cnet, everydayhealth, tvtropes, and all these other sites. Can there be anything done to remove and/or prevent these?

Hi BreadmanYan,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Having a look and will be back with you presently.

From what i've learned, /g00/ disguises third party content, i.e. ads, as first party stuff from the website you're visiting from what I hear. Blocking the /g00/ stuff makes the site not function properly.

Hi again,

Could you please update your MBAM database, run a Threat Scan, and post the log here? Added some goodies that should help.

We're working on handling this particular piece of ad crap in the next version of our browser extension.
