If Malwarebytes 3 is installed, will the browser extension still use MB3's Web Protection databases even if Web Protection is disabled?  I ask because we have a lot of customers affected by issues right now where the only workaround is to disable Web Protection, so I've been advising them to install the browser extension to keep some level of protection from web based threats.  I know they still benefit from the behavioral protection components, but do they still also receive protection from the sites in the databases included with Malwarebytes 3 if Web Protection is disabled?

Also, if it will use the databases, does it also do so for users of the free version of MB3 (not the trial)?

Oh, cool, I wasn't aware of that :).  I thought you had to have MB3 at least installed to utilize those databases.  That's great news and reinforces my recommendation for users who need to disable Web Protection due to the current known issues with it as at least their browser will be fully protected.
