MW3 extremely slow loading

Malwarebytes 3.5.1.2522

Hi all,

I can't say exactly when this issue started, but lately I'm noticing that MW3 takes ages to load after the desktop already showed, and even if the app is loaded (in task manager), it takes even more to just show its interface.

What can I do?

If you are having technical issues with our Windows product, please do the following:

If you haven’t already done so, please run the Malwarebytes Support Tool and then attach the logs in your next reply:

NOTE: The tools and the information obtained is safe and not harmful to your privacy or your computer, please allow the programs to run if blocked by your system.

  • Download Malwarebytes Support Tool
  • Once the file is downloaded, open your Downloads folder/location of the downloaded file
  • Double-click mb-support-X.X.X.XXXX.exe to run the program
    • You may be prompted by User Account Control (UAC) to allow changes to be made to your computer. Click Yes to consent.
  • Place a checkmark next to Accept License Agreement and click Next
  • You will be presented with a page stating, "Welcome to the Malwarebytes Support Tool!"
  • Click the Advanced Options link

  • Click the Gather Logs button

  • A progress bar will appear and the program will proceed to gather troubleshooting information from your computer
  • Upon completion, click OK
  • A file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your Desktop
  • Please attach the file in your next reply. Before submitting your reply, be sure to enable "Notify me of replies" like so:

Hello @Petaloudes and :welcome:

The logs show that Internet Explorer is crashing a lot. This looks like it may be due to one of the Adobe plugins possibly. Please go to Control Panel, Programs, Add/Remove and try uninstalling the following.

Adobe Shockwave Player 12.3
 

Also, your System Restore appears to be disabled. I would highly suggest you enable it and create a new System Restore Point

ATTENTION: System Restore is disabled

 

 

Then let's do a clean removal and reinstall of Malwarebytes.

 

Please download the Malwarebytes Support Tool and use it to do a Clean Removal and reinstall of Malwarebtyes

  • Download Malwarebytes Support Tool
  • Once the file is downloaded, open your Downloads folder/location of the downloaded file
  • Double-click mb-support-X.X.X.XXXX.exe to run the program
    • You may be prompted by the User Account Control (UAC) to allow changes to be made to your computer. Click Yes to consent.
  • Place a check-mark next to Accept License Agreement and click Next
  • You will be presented with a page stating, "Welcome to the Malwarebytes Support Tool!"
  • Click the Advanced Options link - do not click Get Started

  • Click the CLEAN button

  • A progress bar will appear and the program will proceed to remove Malwarebytes from your computer
  • Upon completion, click OK
  • Follow the onscreen prompts to reboot and reinstall Malwarebytes

 

 

If that does not improve things please try creating a new user account on the computer with Admin rights and log into that account and see if you're still having issues with Malwarebytes or not.
