Runtime Error (at 384:2518)

Hello,

I tried to install the latest version of Malwarebytes 3.x, but the installer told me that my OS (Vista Service Pack 2) was no longer supported. It then redirected me to a post on this forum from a Malwarebytes staff member titled, "Malwarebytes support for legacy Windows XP and Vista Operating Systems". Within that post I downloaded the latest available version for XP and Vista mb3-setup-legacywos-3.5.1.2522-1.0.365-1.0.5292.exe. However, when I ran this installer I received this error message Runtime Error (at 384:2518): Access violation at address 66BDA13F in module 'suhlpr.dll'. Read of address 00000000.

When I click OK, Malwarebytes loads up and I don't know what is wrong. Please help me remedy this issue. I'd like to install Malwarebytes without receiving this error.

If you haven’t already done so, please run the Malwarebytes Support Tool and then attach the logs in your next reply:

• Once the file is downloaded, open your Downloads folder/location of the downloaded file

Thanks. The good news is that it looks like this error is at the very end of installation, and you should actually be on the latest version of Malwarebytes for your operating system. The logs will allow us to research some information to try and prevent this from happening in the future, but you should be good

Thank you! I just want to make sure I understand correctly. Even though I have encountered this error, it should not interfere with Malwarebytes' operations?

Correct, the error happened at the very end of the installation, after the files had all been installed properly. So you should be good to go.
