I tried what you said. Installed 3.5.1, disabled web protection and added the extensions for Firefox. Got a BSOD a few hours later with the same trigger method:
Opening tabs in forums such as Facebook and Vbulletin. Reverted back to 3.4.5 and got all fine and dandy.
Also, leaving the extension active was giving me some black screens (1s) like if my HDMI reseted when going to random video sites. Deactivated it for now and it is all fine now.

Well I too had tried the Chrome MBAM web extension when MBam was still enabled except for web protection. I found that the extension through threw up more block sites that were erroneous vs when MBAM web protection was enabled. I have been running with MBAM totally disabled along with the Chrome extension disabled. Only using NDO32 antivirus on Windows7 here

How long ago was this?  The reason I ask is because there were some FP issues with the web extension a while back, but I believe most have been corrected now.  You can monitor FP reports and see where they are addressed in the threads in this forum as well as this one (I linked to both since the extension uses the same tech and databases between the two browser versions so if an FP is fixed for one of them, it is fixed for both).

You can also report any FPs you have in that Chrome beta area and they will take care of them.

Thing is I don't particular want to run any MBAM software currently. Sorry but over the past 6 weeks I have lost count on how many BSODs I have seen here on Windows7. This is especailly the case since no apparent solution to the BSOD other than disabling, at least in my case MBAM entirely.

Sure, that's understandable.  Did the plugin give you any BSODs or just MB3?  I'm just wondering if there are any such issues with the browser plugin as well.

The only time I used extension was when MBAM was enabled except for web protection. During that test I received spurious blocks and a BSOD which could of been simply MBAM not fully disabled.

OK, thanks, yes, I bet you're correct.  It was likely caused by MB3, not the plugin (particularly since the plugin doesn't use any drivers, so the probability of a BSOD is greatly reduced).

Yes, i keep getting BSODs EVERY day because of this. It has been like this almost 2 month.

How long it takes to fix the issue? IT is really annoying.

Now i cant use MBAM at all. Only solution is to uninstall it and go back to MBAM 2.

[EDIT] I am using Win7.

You're not alone, many of us have had to uninstall MB and go with other alternatives due to this unresolved issue. ?

Thank you gentlemen.

I've been crazy for almost two months with this issue, my system is Windows 7 and I use together Avast and Malwarebytes 3.5.1,
and since June 11 I've had random blue screens, and I never had before these problems with random blue screens, this is what my last dump file from yesterday says:

And the biggest problem is that in all this time I did not know what it was due: I have intensively checked ram memory with Memtest86+, I have checked

the processor with a special Intel tool, I have updated all the drivers of the motherboard and graphic card several times especially the network adapter,

I have tried to change many configurations, and what is worse, as days before I had installed a new  ssd and I had cloned my old system to the new ssd

and I thought that all these blue screen problems were due to the system being corrupted, and finally I decided to do a clean installation of W 7,

but as I said before finally yesterday I had again another blue screen after installing again.

I will definitely uninstall Malwarebytes

How the web protection can cause BSOD every day and why they dont fix the issue? This topic is already 9 pages long and nothing will happen. Where is all support in here?

Malwarebytes used to be so good, but then they ruined it by making version 3. That is causing more problems than anything else. When they released it at the first time and forced to upgrade to it, it just broke everything.

If you turn something off, like a web protection, the program keep whining about it all the time.

Cmon MBAM you must of had enough memory dumps by now to know this is a serious issue, this isnt like you guys too walk away from a problem so wheres the resolution?? I have re-installed 3.4.5 which looks to be the last stable version?

Good afternoon everyone. I have messaged what I believe is everyone in this thread with specific instructions on how they can help provide more information. If anyone did not receive a private message but is willing to provide some more information to help us troubleshoot and diagnose this issue, please reply here or send me a message by clicking my name and then clicking Message. Thanks for your patience in dealing with this matter.

Unbelievable

Oh, it's believable. This level of response is what I expected from Malwarebytes, very similar to last year. They couldn't find the problem for several months then, either. The key phrase in the recent email sent by DCollins is "Unfortunately we've been unable to replicate this in house and have been unable to find the root cause with the information provided so far."

The BSODs I've experienced have been on reputable news and information sites based in the US. Malwarebytes seems to be wanting to have the world change its websites to let its software perform correctly, instead of recognizing that they actually have caused this issue with their software update. If Malwarebytes has been unable to find the root cause after 2 months, they have not been looking too diligently. 2 months. 2 months.

@ColoradoGuy  Just an FYI: My situation is such that I can reliably cause the BSOD to occur on demand. It does not involve any websites or even having a web browser open.

And yes, I have submitted the dump files as dcollins requested.

Sorry but I don’t see how you guys went from “we think we’ve got the root problem identified” to “ we have no clue”

Also, I find it surprising you’re asking us to voluntarily BSOD ourselves to help fix your product. I understand you can’t seem to replicate it, but you’re asking us to do something that may harm our computers here. Not cool.

@miykael the fix we thought we had turned out to not be the correct fix, which is why we're asking for more information now.

We also do understand the concern with asking users to perform actions that would crash their computer, which is why the message did state that we understand if you couldn't/didn't want to provide the requested information.

Personally I just disabled everything in MBAM there is nothing in it that is enabled.

Even though disabled, MBAM's kernel mode drivers will still load (into RAM), so you may still be susceptible to BSODs, assuming that Malwarebytes is the real cause.

Most of the memory dumps I've seen recently name netio.sys as the probable cause (like in the OP's initial dump), but it is NOT the actual cause because it is a Microsoft driver. Microsoft drivers are considered to be sacrosanct. The only 3rd party driver found on the mini kernel memory dump stack is mwac.sys, which is a Malwarebytes kernel mode driver. Also, the number of times that mwac.sys is unloaded then reloaded is suspiciously high. A driver is unloaded from RAM to make room for another driver to be loaded into RAM. Windbg provides a listing of unloaded drivers. (see below in CODE box).
