Hello,

I had purchased a lifetime key many many moons ago and do no care to remember how long ago it was. Anyways I am sick and tired of entering the key after every install.

So I signed up for a my.malwarebytes.com account hoping to install the key and forget and every-time I install, I can  just sign in to my account and viola subscription activated. But I can't find the option to enter the key in the portal. Can you please advise where to plug in the key in the online portal. Secondly, I am one of my colleagues has just bought a lifetime key from somewhere and is happily using it. I would like to do the same for my sons PC. So I want to have 2 keys in my account.

For clarification, I am trying to do something that one of your competitors do quite well. (i.e Kaspersky). Have the key in the portal and just sign in on the device to have it activated.

Lifetime keys haven't been available for purchase for at least a year or more now to my knowledge, so be cautious about purchasing any licenses that claim to be lifetime keys on the web from outside sources as they may end up being blacklisted if they aren't legitimate (i.e. pirated keys or created by key generators etc.).

This is also part of the reason you can't enter a lifetime key into the portal.  The My Account portal as far as I know only supports subscription licenses using the new key format (FYI, Kaspersky doesn't offer lifetime licenses either, so their keys will only be for subscriptions the same as those supported by the Malwarebytes portal).

It is true that Kaspersky does not offer lifetime keys, however the Kaspersky portal will accept keys from standalone boxed versions of their software purchased from ANYWHERE, not just subscriptions purchased directly from Kaspersky.

Yep, that's because Kaspersky did a long time ago what Malwarebytes has just started to do in developing a single master subscription/licensing system to track all of their license keys.  Malwarebytes had no such system in place during the 1.x/lifetime license key days so there's no way for the portal to validate those older license types.  They might backport it some how in the future to be compatible, but for the moment only the newer keys work with the portal system.
