I am having the same problem.  Tried closing down MBAM and restarting.  Still says I am out of date, but clicking updates does nothing.  I see someone else repeated this post, so the problem is apparently on Malwarebytes end and not the user.

This is due to our maintenance, and it should resolve itself once our maintenance is completed

Not good enough. You expect your users to rely on your product for their security and  you claim to be world leaders in this area. But you don't bother to post clear advisories about an issue which is guaranteed to cause a lot of concern. Not very professional in my opinion.

I agree 110% with skypilotpete.  But I smell this was an unscheduled outage -- server outage, fiber issue, fire, etc.  I've been in that trench and you're at the mercy of the center's personnel.  But that's why we had backup servers in distant locations.   Maybe MB does not have backup centers in which case shame on them.  Because I consider their products "critical infrastructure" for me.  Please pass that on to your top management.  Also the fact that most corps do "maintenance" after midnight.  Not during prime time on Saturday.
